Singapore Ranks 5th Globally in 2024 Smart City Index, Top in Asia

In the 2024 Smart City Index, Singapore has climbed two positions to become the fifth-smartest city globally. Notably, it retains its status as the smartest city in Asia, surpassing cities such as Beijing, Taipei, and Seoul. The index evaluates 142 cities based on their adeptness in leveraging technology to improve citizens’ quality of life. Singapore’s strengths lie in areas like basic sanitation for underserved communities, efficient public transportation, and robust public safety measures.
